The
BioStor CLF horizontal plate freezing system was developed
to meet the demands now being made on the blood banking community.
Traditional plasma freezing systems do not meet the FDA’s
proposed adoption of the stricter European standards for plasma
processing. The CLF ’s effectiveness has been proved
in clinical tests and practical applications. This ready-to-plug
machine is equipped with the latest compression technology
and does not produce excessive heat or noise, allowing for
a safer, comfortable, and more cost effective work environment.
Operating in the automatic mode, the CLF can freeze approximately
18-20 200ml bags to below -30° C in approximately 30 - 35 minutes. The horizontal freezing process guarantees uniformly shaped
and frozen bags, simplifying further handling and labeling. The freezer can be cycled many times without
defrosting. If necessary, the user can initialize the automatic
defrost cycle. The refrigerant does not contain CFC’s.
